i wrote this poem. it is amazing.
I woke up to the sound of the rain on my window
Never expecting what would happen today
The mood of my surroundings was sad, almost prepared for the events to follow
But I didn’t clue in
I made my breakfast,
An innocent bowl of cereal
Its rainbow pieces, coated with happiness, looking slightly less happy today
But I didn’t clue in
I walked out the door, dawdling along to school
The trees stared through me, a darker shade of green today
The puddles mocking me, pretending to be deep, dark lakes
BUT I didn’t clue in
I saw my friend Shahin
He was wearing all black, black hair, black makeup, black lipstick, black nail polish
Like he does every day
Something was wrong, one of his fingernails was not black
But I didn’t clue in
I reached up to fix my hair
AND THEN I CLUED IN
I lost one of my favourite earrings that my mom bought me from the dollar store
Oh darn!
dont you just love the pink exclamation mark at the end?!?! i did that for no reasonnn WOW! anywhoo...this is free verse...just so ya knoww....i ruv it....hehehehe
